Beginning with the 2023 vintage, Tilth has turned to one of Napa’s most revered winemakers, Keith Emerson, to oversee winemaking. Keith is a native of Braintree, Massachusetts who brings over two decades of winemaking expertise to the Tilth portfolio. After achieving his degree in Enology and Viticulture from the University of California, Davis, Keith has served as winemaker for projects from California to Oregon, with stints at notable wineries such as Robert Craig, Gundlach Bundschu, Martin Ray, and more.

Since 2005 Keith has held the position of Director of Winemaking at Vineyard 29, and was recently appointed as President and CEO in 2022. His wealth of talent and experience has led to countless 90+ scores from major critics, and even includes a perfect 100 points from Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate for Vineyard 29’s 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon.
